Law firm Blake Morgan has expanded its team with two new hires, providing a boost to the firm’s expertise in both insolvency and restructuring, and in professional regulation. Imran Aslam and John Lucarotti both join the firm as partners.
New partner John Lucarotti brings over 15 years of experience of advising on regulatory law within the healthcare sector. He joins Blake Morgan from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), where he was accountable for policy development for over a decade, recently acting as a leading specialist on the Government’s high-profile reforms to the regulation of healthcare professionals. In addition to his work with the NMC, John has acted on a part-time basis as a legal adviser to the General Pharmaceutical Council and as a deputy district judge, adjudicating civil and family law cases in the county court.
John joins the firm’s highly respected and well-established regulatory team. The team is ranked Band 1 in the Legal 500 2025 and its expertise has been recognised in the Chambers Guide for 21 years running.
Strengthening the firm’s insolvency and restructuring offering, Imran Aslam joins Blake Morgan as a partner with more than 15 years of experience. Imran’s expertise has been recognised in both the Chambers Guide and the Legal 500, based on his advice on international and domestic restructurings, with a focus on real estate, automotive, financial services, oil and gas, and retail and leisure. He has acted for a range of clients, including debtors, creditors, banks, other financial institutions, distressed investors, directors and insolvency practitioners.
Blake Morgan’s insolvency team’s strong industry reputation is recognised in the Legal 500, and the team has been ranked in the Chambers Guide in each of the past seven years.
