Brown Rudnick announced that Jonathan Richman, a securities and corporate governance lawyer, has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the White Collar Defense, Investigations & Compliance practice.
Richman’s practice focuses on securities class actions and derivative litigation, corporate internal investigations, government investigations and enforcement proceedings, and insider trading. His clients include individuals, public and private companies, venture capital and private equity firms and investment banks in a variety of industries.
“I have worked with, and across from, Jonathan for decades. He is one of the white collar bar’s greatest intellects, and is a highly skilled litigator who advocates tenaciously for his clients,” said Steve Best, chair of the White Collar Defense, Investigations & Compliance group. “I am delighted to welcome him to our white collar team and expand our New York-based capabilities.”
Richman has extensive experience advising on securities, M&A and corporate governance litigation matters, including high-profile litigations representing Royal Dutch/Shell, Hewlett-Packard, Halliburton, JBS, Bed Bath & Beyond, Zurich Financial Services, MetLife, and Waste Management. He previously was a partner at Proskauer Rose, where he was former co-head of Securities Litigation.

Richman received his A.B., summa cum laude, from Princeton University and his J.D. from Yale Law School.
