PARTNER MOVES - Capital markets partner Rachel Han joins Dorsey in Hong Kong

Rachel Han has joined Dorsey & Whitney LLP as a Partner in the Capital Markets group in Hong Kong, the law firm announced. 

Dorsey & Whitney LLP is pleased to announce that Rachel Han has recently joined the firm’s Hong Kong office as a partner in the capital markets practice.

“Rachel has over a decade of experience representing China-based companies and underwriters in capital markets transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings and secondary offerings, and public company disclosure and compliance work,” said Janet Wong, Head of Dorsey’s Hong Kong office. “We are thrilled that Rachel is joining our office and bringing her wealth of experience, further strengthening our strategic international capabilities.”

“Ms. Han has more than ten years of experience representing Chinese companies and underwriters in capital market transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on offerings and secondary offerings, as well as information disclosure and compliance work for listed companies,” said Ms. Huang Lizhen, head of Dorsey’s Hong Kong office. “We are very pleased that Ms. Han has joined our team and brought her rich experience, which will further enhance our international strategic capabilities.”

”As a market leader in Dorsey’s capital markets practice, Rachel serves the Firm’s Asian-based clients in both Hong Kong and the U.S. Rachel’s practice focuses on equity capital markets, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisition transactions. She also has extensive experience in general commercial work. Rachel’s clients engage in various industries including consumer, infrastructure and construction, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, renewable energy, investment, and financial services. Before joining Dorsey, Rachel was a partner at Dentons Hong Kong.

As a leader of Dorsey’s equity capital markets practice, Han provides professional legal services to the firm’s Asian clients in Hong Kong and the U.S. capital markets. Han specializes in equity capital markets, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions transactions. She also has extensive experience in general commercial matters. Han’s clients cover a variety of industries, including consumer, infrastructure and construction, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, renewable energy, investment and financial services. Prior to joining Dorsey, Han was a partner in the Hong Kong office of Dentons.

Rachel received her Bachelor of Commerce & Law from University of Melbourne.

Ms. Han holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne.

Rachel’s arrival further strengthens Dorsey’s U.S.-China practice and existing capital markets practice in the U.S. and Hong Kong. She joins Dorsey’s bilingual equity capital markets lawyers Megan Penick and Jia Song in Dorsey’s New York office, as well as Jason Lin in Beijing office, to provide bilingual, bicultural, and responsive service to Dorsey’s Asia-based clients seeking access to U.S. and Hong Kong capital markets.

Han’s joining further strengthens Dorsey’s China-US practice and capital markets practice in the US and Hong Kong. She will work with bilingual attorneys Megan Penick and Song Jia in Dorsey’s equity capital markets practice in New York and Lin Qing in Beijing to provide Dorsey’s Asian clients with bilingual, bicultural and responsive legal services to help them enter the US and Hong Kong capital markets.
