Claire Toumieux specialises in advising businesses seeking to define, implement and/or improve their human resources management strategies. She has built up a strong reputation in assisting corporate groups, both listed and unlisted, and investment funds through strategic operations such as mergers and acquisitions, collective bargaining agreements and reorganisations. She also represents them both on sensitive individual and collective disputes.
Prior to joining Allen & Overy, Claire was a partner at the Flichy Grangé Avocats law firm.
Last September Claire was re-elected for a second two-year term as Vice Chair of the European Employment Lawyers Association. The EELA, with more than 1400 members, is the European body for lawyers specialising in employment law.
Commenting on Claire’s arrival, Jean-Claude Rivalland, Managing Partner at Allen & Overy Paris, said: "We are truly delighted to welcome Claire. Now, more than ever, employment law is one of the central concerns of our clients and is a key part of our firm’s growth strategy. Claire is well-known and highly respected as a lawyer in Paris. We are confident that she will bring a fresh impetus and perspective, and that, with the support of our well-established and experienced team, she will succeed in strengthening our position in this area."
Claire Toumieux added: "I am very enthusiastic at the prospect of joining a leading international firm which, through the quality and responsiveness of its people, is able to meet the complex challenges of increasingly global human resources management. I am particularly motivated by the fact that Allen & Overy wishes to develop its employment law practice both locally and internationally. I am delighted to be able to work with the firm’s other offices and practices to provide our clients with innovative and effective solutions that help them to implement their plans and projects".
