PARTNER MOVES - Clyde & Co hires Simone Herbert-Lowe as partner in Sydney

Simone Herbert-Lowe joins the firm’s global Cyber practice, strengthening its Australian presence in Sydney. Simone has 30 years’ experience and is currently the Principal and Founder of advisory firm Law & Cyber.

Global law firm Clyde & Co announces the hire of Simone Herbert-Lowe as Partner. Simone is a cyber risk strategist with 30 years' experience in legal, insurance, and risk management, including eight years in cyber risk, governance, and regulatory strategy.

Simone regularly speaks on technology-enabled risk and legal obligations, and as part of Clyde & Co’s global Cyber One team, will help organisations navigate cyber threats, compliance challenges, and risk governance. Simone is currently the Principal of advisory firm Law & Cyber, which she founded in 2018 and which has delivered cyber risk education to over 10,000 professionals.

Regional global cyber offering
Simone will form part of Clyde & Co’s global Cyber One offering and will lead the future growth of the firm’s Australia practice. The Cyber One network enables the Australia team to provide continuous accessibility and availability via the firm’s nearly 70 offices globally, with 24/7/365 support to clients.

Simone has been a Steering Committee Member of the Cyber Risk and Governance Group at the Australasian Society for Computers + Law (AUSCL), and Adjunct Lecturer and Assessor at the College of Law Australia in Sydney.

She has also served as expert contributor to the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Cybercrime (2024), and as expert opinion provider in Supreme Court proceedings involving allegations of email-enabled fraud and has been invited to speak at The Australian Information Security Association (AISA)’s Australian Cyber Conference.

Simone won Innovator of the Year (Individual) at the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards (2022) and was a finalist in the category Thought Leader of the Year at the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards (2023).
