CMS is pleased to announce the appointment of Lloyd Chater as a partner in its Energy, Projects and Construction (EPC) team in Australia. This strategic hire strengthens CMS’s presence in the Australian market and underscores the firm’s commitment to supporting energy, construction and infrastructure sectors worldwide.
With over 23 years of experience, Lloyd is a projects, construction and transactional energy specialist who has advised on market-leading projects across Australia, Africa, EMEA and the Indo-Pacific regions. He regularly advises sponsors, contractors, developers, engineers, financiers, and investors across a broad range of energy-related and mining infrastructure projects with a particular focus on clean and renewable energy, the incremental hybridisation of energy systems and the transition toward hydrogen, green power and medium and long term storage solutions, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Lloyd’s extensive experience also includes construction and professional consulting contracts, with practical knowledge of construction law and infrastructure development, EPC, EPCM contracts, incentive structures and alliance agreements. He joins CMS from Gilbert + Tobin.
