Based in Asia for the past 23 years, Steve supports clients on their buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, strategic investments across the full range of equity, equity-linked and convertible instruments, joint ventures, and corporate reorganisations. Steve's sector expertise spans the Consumer, Industrials, Business Services, Real Estate and Technology sectors.
Caryn Miller, CMS partner and managing director for Asia and the Middle East, says: “Steve has a longstanding Asia-focused transactional practice that will bolster the coverage of our regional corporate practice, and we are very pleased to welcome him to the firm. Hong Kong continues to be of strategic importance for CMS and Steve’s arrival signals our ongoing commitment to the APAC region.”
Steven Tran adds: “I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the team at CMS. The firm's international full service offering and strong platform across Asia and other key financial centers provide the critical components I need in order to continue supporting clients on their M&A and PE deals across the region and globally. CMS's commitment to growing strategically in Asia, and the firm's recognition of the region's importance to its global platform, are also hugely compelling. I'm looking forward to getting started.”
Steve’s appointment follows three new hires in the firm’s Funds and Indirect Real Estate team in Hong Kong. CMS Hong Kong welcomed partners Paul Moloney and Helen Wang, as well as senior associate Gigi Ma, bolstering the firm’s funds offering in the region.
CMS Hong Kong supports clients across the full spectrum of dispute resolution, financial transactions, corporate, commercial and M&A.
