Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its Asia-Pacific M&A practice with the arrival of partner Danny Kan, who joins the firm in Hong Kong.
Danny is a corporate M&A lawyer who advises on major cross-border M&A transactions, corporate governance and listing compliance matters, and capital markets transactions including block trades, rights issues, pre-IPO investments, general offers and reverse takeovers. He has particular experience in the technology and life sciences sectors in Greater China.
Danny's experience advising Hong Kong and PRC clients in the fintech, life sciences and financial services industries aligns perfectly with three of the firm's areas of focus: technology, life sciences and private capital and funds, said Evangeline Quek, Stephenson Harwood's Greater China office managing partner. We expect to see considerable growth across the region in these sectors and Danny's knowledge adds expertise to our regional offering.
Danny's arrival will bolster the firm's highly rated Greater China corporate practice, said Tom Nicholls, global head of corporate, Stephenson Harwood. His sector knowledge and capabilities complement the specialisations already present within the team, enhancing the service we provide to our clients.
Established in 1979, the Hong Kong office was the first of Stephenson Harwood's Greater China offices. It was one of the first UK firms to open in Hong Kong and then mainland China.
