Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice with the addition of David Lewis as a partner in London.

The UK is the second largest legal market globally and our London M&A team continues to go from strength-to-strength, advising clients on their most complex cross-border public and private M&A transactions, said White & Case partner John Reiss, Head of the Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Further strengthening the M&A team in London through the hire of experienced partner David Lewis will support the continued growth and development of our corporate practice in this key market.

Lewis specialises in mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and equity investments, with a primary focus on the mining & metals and energy sectors. He also has significant experience in distressed M&A, debt for equity restructurings and a range of other sectors. Lewis joins White & Case from Clifford Chance, where he was a partner and co-head of the mining & metals group.

David is a board level trusted adviser who is retained on the most significant corporate and M&A mandates for his clients, said White & Case partner Philip Broke, Regional Section Head EMEA M&A/Corporate 2. The addition of David to our M&A team in London will provide further strength and depth to our multi-jurisdictional EMEA offering and complement our experience and capabilities in the region.
