PARTNER MOVES - Dentons appoints securitisation and structured finance specialist Alex Moezi as partner to its structured finance team in London

25 Feb 2025

Dentons is delighted to welcome experienced securitisation and structured finance lawyer Alex Moezi to its Debt Capital Markets, Structured Finance and Derivatives team in London. He joins the firm as a partner.

Alex joins Dentons from A&O Shearman and has a background in securitisation and structured finance that covers a variety of consumer assets and trade receivables, acting for major international investment banks, private equity firms, specialist lenders and corporates, focusing on the consumer and SME sectors.

Alex has also developed a specialism in solar securitisations and ESG asset classes, where he is considered a market expert. He has built a strong reputation for expertise in relation to African solar securitisations in particular, having completed award-winning deals in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Nigeria, and has recently expanded his expertise to cross-border carbon asset financing.

His appointment follows the addition of US securities and high-yield partner Colin Chang, who joined Dentons' Debt Capital Markets team in London from Linklaters in January.

Paul Jarvis, CEO of Dentons' UKIME region, said: Alex is a fantastic addition to our London office. His experience in emerging markets and relationships with international investment banks and financial institutions will support our strategy to extend the reach of our securitisation practice, and his specialism in solar and ESG securitisation is also highly sought after.

Nick Hayday, Head of Banking and Financial Services Division UK and Global Co-Chair for the Banking and Finance Group, said: We are excited to welcome Alex to our ambitious and growing capital markets team in London. Alex is a high-quality lawyer with excellent technical capabilities and a deservedly stellar reputation among the clients he works with.
