PARTNER MOVES - Dentons bolsters its Saudi Arabia regulatory and litigation practice with the arrival of partner, Abdullah Alsulaimi

Dentons, the world's largest global law firm, is delighted to announce that Dr. Abdullah Alsulaimi has joined its Riyadh office as a partner in the Regulatory and Litigation practice. Abdullah's appointment represents a significant expansion of Dentons' capabilities, further strengthening the firm's ability to deliver top-tier legal services in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Abdullah Alsulaimi is an esteemed legal professional with a distinguished career as a judicial and regulatory expert. He is a member of the Committee for Resolution of Securities Disputes. He joins the firm after having served as the Deputy Minister for Laws and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Justice in Saudi Arabia, where he advised the Minister of Justice. Abdullah is also a member of the advisory board in the Office of the Minister of Justice and has also held significant judicial roles, including serving as a judge in various courts, including working in the Bankruptcy Department at the Commercial Court in Riyadh. He also previously served as Assistant Deputy Minister in the Department of Property Registration.

In addition to his judicial and regulatory expertise, Abdullah has been involved in drafting several key legislations over the past 10 years. These include, but are not limited to, the Civil Transactions Law; the Evidence Law; the Enforcement Law; and the Regulation of Foreign Law Firms, which all form significant aspects to the legal reforms currently under way in Saudi Arabia. He has served as a respected member of several prominent committees and boards. Notably, he served as a member of the Committee for Resolution of Securities Disputes; Board Member of the National Competitiveness Centre; Board Member of the Real Estate General Authority; and Board Member of the Arab Centre for Legal and Judicial Research.

Over the past three years, we have recruited a string of senior hires into our Saudi Corporate, Finance, Energy and Real Estate practices, said UK, Ireland and Middle East CEO, Paul Jarvis.
