Dentons announced that Kevan Lee Deckelmann has joined the Portland, Maine, office as a partner in the Corporate practice. Kevan has 20 years of experience helping businesses ranging from startups to large established companies as they seek to grow and protect their organizations.
Kevan advises businesses on merger and acquisition deals across a variety of industries including mobile telecommunications, cloud computing, and food and beverage. Her practice also includes a focus on media, advertising and the marketing issues businesses face when engaged in email, social media and SMS marketing, including endorsers, promotions and sweepstakes.
Kevan often acts as outside counsel to companies, advising on corporate governance and strategic planning. Her strong understanding of the clients’ operations and goals allows her to identify potential obstacles and the pathways to achieve significant results.
“Kevan brings a tremendous amount of experience that our clients are looking for right now. She’s a problem solver who assists her clients in setting them up for success,” said Portland Office Managing Partner Andrew Helman. “We are excited to welcome Kevan to Dentons and our growing team.”
Kevan is the second partner to join Dentons’ Portland office this year. Chad Higgins, a products liability and environmental litigator, joined the Firm’s Commercial Litigation practice in January.
“We are committed to having the talent that our clients seek to support their needs locally, nationally and globally. Kevan strengthens our Corporate practice in Portland and enhances our support of clients in Maine, and across the US and the globe,” said Managing Partner Keith Bice.
