PARTNER MOVES - Double partner hire expands private equity and construction law capabilities at Squire Patton Boggs

17 Jan 2025

Squire Patton Boggs has hired two new partners in Manchester.  Private equity and corporate lawyer Victoria Jew joins the firm from Pinsent Masons, whilst construction and engineering lawyer Charlotte Higham arrives from Addleshaw Goddard.

“Our office in Manchester continues to flourish and we are delighted to invest in its future growth by welcoming Victoria and Charlotte, the next generation of leaders to the firm,” said Manchester office managing partner Rob Elvin.

European head of Private Equity Paul Mann commented: “Victoria is a talented lawyer with a strong track record leading transactions and collaborating on new business opportunities. We are excited that she has chosen to join us as we continue to see high levels of corporate and private equity activity both from the UK and internationally.”

On Ms. Higham, the firm’s European head of Real Estate Matthew Dalzell said: “Charlotte’s arrival is part of our strategy to expand our construction offering and build on our strength in real estate development work, with further significant investment in this area planned for this year.

With a practice focused on the mixed use and living sectors, Charlotte has significant experience in student accommodation and build-to-rent and will reinforce and build upon our strong credentials in this space. She will also support our work in the private equity arena as we seek to increase M&A and investment mandates for both high value real estate assets and significant traded portfolios.”
