We’re thrilled to have Adam join us as we continue to strengthen our Chicago office and add to our high-performing Corporate Practice Group.”

“Adam has a strong state and local tax skillset, both domestically and internationally,” said Brian P. Kerwin, chair of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, which is comprised of more than 200 attorneys. “His experience and entrepreneurial mindset will be a great addition to our corporate team.”

“Adam’s capabilities will be a great addition to our firm’s robust tax practice,” said John Robert Weiss, managing partner of the Duane Morris Chicago office. “Additionally, his collaborative and enthusiastic nature will be a great fit for our Chicago office.”

Through both litigation and settlement, Beckerink has resolved difficult state tax matters before administrative appeal boards, tax tribunals and courts in Illinois and throughout the United States. He advises diverse U.S.- and non-U.S.-based multinationals on all aspects of state income, franchise, sales and use tax and unclaimed property issues, including nexus, business/nonbusiness income, unitary business principles and U.S. constitutional concepts.
