Law firm Eversheds has announced the appointment of Clare Whitaker as a partner in its Real Estate Practice Group. Clare joins the firm as a lateral hire from Clyde & Co.

Clare specialises in commercial real estate investment and owner/occupier work with a particular emphasis on the hotel and leisure sector. She also specialises in the real estate aspects of restructuring and insolvency matters and corporate M&A transactions.

Clare has a wealth of experience in real estate market, with recent deals including acting for a high end retailer in connection with its flagship London store and the acquisition of its new office headquarters, both in Mayfair, London. She has also recently advised a local investor in connection with the construction and operation of a five star hotel in Abuja, Nigeria to be operated by a luxury brand.
