PARTNER MOVES - Fayzulla Khusankhodjaev joins Dentons’ team in Uzbekistan

Global law firm Dentons has strengthened its Corporate and M&A practice in Tashkent with the recruitment of partner Fayzulla Khusankhodjaev, who joins effective April 1, 2025.

Fayzulla Khusankhodjaev has more than 13 years’ legal experience in both external and in-house counsel roles. He advises both foreign investors and domestic clients on commercial, corporate, investment, intellectual property, antitrust and banking law. Before joining Dentons, he was the Deputy General Counsel, Head of Commercial Law and IP Practice and General Counsel of the FinTech business stream of Uzum, a digital services eco-system focused on e-commerce, fintech and banking services and the first Uzbek unicorn startup. Prior to that he was Head of the Legal practice in Uzbekistan at a Big 4 company, and earlier in his career, he worked at the USAID Judicial Reform in Uzbekistan Project and a regional law firm.

In addition to his legal practice, he was a lecturer on the legal profession at Westminster International University in Tashkent. He is fluent in Uzbek, English and Russian.
