PARTNER MOVES - Jeantet takes on business criminal with the arrival of Philippe Bouchez El Ghozi as partner

Jeantet is pleased to announce the arrival, as partner, of Philippe Bouchez El Ghozi and his team in order to strengthen the commercial litigation department, and in particular the practice of business criminal law, compliance and internal investigations. With this arrival, Jeantet now has 35 partners and intends to continue this growth.

This new arrival, continuing the firm's strong growth in recent years, aims to complete the diversification of Jeantet's offering and establish it as a full-service firm with exceptional strength in the Paris market and to the international.

Philippe Bouchez El Ghozi and his team are particularly strengthening the offering in business criminal law, compliance and internal investigations, to meet the growing demand from its clients in terms of prevention and management of criminal risk. The objective for the firm is to offer its clients, faced with increased litigation exposure, a preventive and secure solution, supported by a global approach specific to the firm, in order to respond to all the complex issues in their strategic matters.

Philippe Bouchez El Ghozi will be in charge of developing the practice within the business litigation department. His cutting-edge expertise, which he has acquired over more than 25 years through high-level activity in the areas of business criminal law, internal investigations, compliance and business litigation concerning sensitive files, will enable him to Jeantet to consolidate its position as a leading firm on complex files with high strategic issues which require reconciling legal and judicial constraints with an economic, financial, social and media context.

Before joining Jeantet, Philippe was a partner for more than 16 years in a recognized international firm , present in Paris. With extensive experience in criminal, commercial and civil jurisdictions, he is renowned for his effective management of crisis situations, procedures and risk prevention measures.

Philippe Bouchez El Ghozi's team will notably be made up of Hortense Béthune, senior associate, and Julie Bermond.

Hortense Béthune joined Jeantet in 2020. She specializes in business criminal law. She assists our French and international clients in criminal proceedings, internal investigations and compliance (anti-corruption, Sapin 2 Law). She advises companies and their managers in all litigation and pre-litigation phases.

Julie Bermond specializes in Criminal Law and Business Litigation. She is involved in all phases of investigations and also in the context of internal investigations within companies in terms of compliance and the fight against corruption and money laundering. She assists French and international clients in litigation and pre-litigation procedures before commercial, civil and criminal courts.
