Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Nicola Di Giovanni as a corporate/M&A partner in the Paris office. Di Giovanni joins K&L Gates from the Paris office of Baker & McKenzie, where he was a partner since 2011. Previously, he was a partner in the Paris and London offices of Linklaters.
Di Giovanni focuses his practice on corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, management packages, and bankruptcy and restructuring.
“Following the arrival of Jean-Patrice Labautière three months ago, our Paris office is continuing the growth of its corporate M&A and private equity practices,” said Louis Degos, administrative partner of K&L Gates’ Paris office. “We are delighted to welcome such a dynamic and client-focused lawyer as Nicola Di Giovanni. He has a broad transactional experience and his recruitment strengthens and reinforces our corporate offering.”
Di Giovanni stated: “It is a great opportunity for me to join a leading law firm such as K&L Gates, and to be involved in the development of its Paris office.”
Di Giovanni is the second new partner to join the firm’s Paris office this year, following the February addition of fellow corporate/M&A lawyer Jean-Patrice Labautière, and the sixth partner addition within K&L Gates’ global corporate/M&A practice in 2014.
K&L Gates’ corporate/M&A practice provides full-service counsel on the structuring, financing, and completion of domestic, international, and cross-border transactions, and last year was named “Law Firm of the Year” by Mergers & Acquisitions magazine as part of their Mid-Market M&A Awards.
