PARTNER MOVES - Leïla Hubeaut joins Dentons to strengthen energy, mining and infrastructure offering in France and francophone Africa

Renowned lawyer Leïla Hubeaut has joined Dentons’ Paris office as a partner to strengthen the Firm’s Energy practice. She joins along with senior associate Ergen Ege. Leïla Hubeaut has strategic experience in project development, mergers and acquisitions, and joint venture transactions, mainly in the energy, mining, hydrocarbon, infrastructure, and telecommunications sectors. She focuses on North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Iran.

She advises on the regulatory and public law aspects of projects, and particularly on the licensing of regulated activities. She also assists clients in contractual arrangements for project financing to ensure their bankability.

Before joining Dentons, Hubeaut practiced as a partner in the Energy and Infrastructure team at Herbert Smith Freehills, where she was co-responsible for both Central and West Africa and Iran. Prior to that, she worked at Gide Loyrette Nouel (Paris and New-York) in the Mining, Oil and Gas team.

Dentons’ Energy group in Paris specializes in oil, gas and electricity sectors in France, as well as French-speaking Africa and Iran. The team assists global petroleum corporations, independent manufacturers, freight companies, energy producers, and financial institutions throughout the value creation process.
