PARTNER MOVES - Mayer Brown continues structured finance push with appointment of Adam Farrell

16 Jan 2025

Mayer Brown announced that Adam Farrell has joined the firm as a partner in its global Structured Finance and Private Capital groups. He joins from White & Case shortly after the arrival of collateralised loan obligations (CLO) and securitisation lawyer Chris McGarry on 1 January, also previously at White & Case.

Adam focuses on advising arrangers, issuers, sponsors and investors on securitisations including CLOs, consumer asset-backed securities, residential mortgage-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, trade receivables and esoteric assets classes. He is also experienced in regulatory aspects of financing matters, as well as ESG and sustainability matters relating to the European Green Deal.

Alex Dell, co-head of Mayer Brown’s Banking & Finance practice said: “Adam will be a great addition to our market-leading Structured Finance and Private Capital groups, which have already welcomed Chris McGarry this year. Their 30 years of combined experience bolsters our offering to clients as one of the few firms with premium CLO and securitisation practices in both New York and London.”

Dominic Griffiths, London managing partner, said: “We continue to strengthen our offering in London and on a transatlantic basis to provide premium advice to a variety of high profile banking and private credit clients. The arrival of Chris and Adam aligns with our strategic plan to grow our cross-border capabilities in order to meet our clients’ needs.”
