Mishcon de Reya has today announced the appointment of Contentious Regulatory Partner, Guy Wilkes, who joins the firm's Finance & Banking group from Mayer Brown.
Guy worked at Allen & Overy and Osborne Clarke before joining the FCA in 2009, where he was involved in some of the FCA and PRA's highest profile investigations into both individuals and institutions. He left the FCA in 2016 to join Mayer Brown as a Contentious Regulatory Partner. His appointment reflects Mishcon de Reya's commitment to developing its Regulatory practice.
Adam Epstein, who leads the Contentious Regulatory practice at Mishcon de Reya, commented on the appointment: ""As a former Head of Department within FCA Enforcement, Guy is a significant addition to the team. His knowledge of Regulatory issues from the other side of the fence complements and enhances our growing practice. His responsibility for developing and implementing enforcement strategy in a wide range of areas such as competition cases, anti-money laundering and actions against individuals under the new Senior Manager regime is a fantastic addition to the firm's business more generally.""
Guy added: ""I'm thrilled to be joining Mishcon de Reya's leading regulatory investigations group and I'm looking forward to working with Adam and the team as they go from strength to strength"".
