We are very pleased to welcome Harald Hauge and Jarle Schelander to Wikborg Rein. They both started this week as a partner and Specialist Counsel, respectively, in our tax department.

Harald Hauge is a lawyer with a PhD in tax law and has extensive experience as a tax advisor for businesses and family offices. He is rated as one of the country's leading tax lawyers by Chambers and has been a partner at Harboe & Co., which is now being dissolved.

My impression of Wikborg Rein's tax practice and potential so far is very positive. Our ambition is to contribute to the development of a dedicated, enthusiastic and visible tax department, says Hauge, who started his legal career with us working as an associate and lawyer between 2000 and 2007.

A comeback - It's fantastic to see how professionalized things have become over the years, says Hauge.

Jarle Schelander, who were a partner in Harboe & Co. is known as a highly skilled tax lawyer with particular insight in the hot ground rent regimes (renewable energy and sea farming), is also looking forward to a new chapter at Wikborg Rein.

I both believe and hope that we can assist the firm in taking further steps in taxation and that we can also further develop ourselves as lawyers by joining a larger business law firm, says Schelander.

Significant growth - Ole Henrik Wille is very pleased with the two new lawyers on board.

We have a strong tax team consisting of nine lawyers who assist our clients with all forms of tax advice. We are experiencing significant growth in both transactions and tax-related disputes and therefore see a need to further strengthen our tax practice. We are doing this now with Harald and Jarle, who are two of the country's leading tax lawyers. I am confident that they both will contribute to recruiting even more tax talents to Wikborg Rein, he says.
