PARTNER MOVES - Private client services partner Rachel Harris joins Proskauer in Los Angeles

03 Jun 2025

Proskauer, a leading international law firm, is pleased to welcome Rachel Harris as a partner in its Private Client Services Department in Los Angeles. Rachel brings extensive experience in both domestic and international estate planning as well as California-specific estate planning issues.

“Rachel is one of the industry’s leading estate planning lawyers, and I’m proud to welcome her to Proskauer,” said Tim Mungovan, Firm Chairman. “Rachel’s highly specialized expertise enhances our ability to help clients, from California to London, navigate complex estate matters and strengthens our position as trusted partners in estate and trust planning.”

Rachel represents ultra-high-net worth individuals and families in connection with all aspects of estate planning, estate and trust administration and charitable giving. Her practice also focuses on domestic and international estate planning for individuals and families, pre-immigration planning prior to arrival in the U.S., planning for U.S. citizens residing outside of the U.S., and operation of tax-exempt organizations. She also has substantial experience resolving complex technical matters that involve more than one jurisdiction, including tax, succession and probate.

“Ahead of changes to the estate and gift tax laws in the coming years, Rachel adds important depth to our private client service offerings. Her rare combination of California insights and global perspective and her ability to navigate U.S. and international tax and estate planning with clarity and precision makes Rachel an exceptional resource for our clients. I look forward to working with her,” said David Pratt, Chair of the Private Client Services Department.

“I’m excited to join a team that’s committed to excellence and collaboration across offices and borders. Proskauer’s Private Client Services platform aligns well with my practice, and I look forward to helping grow our presence while working alongside my colleagues to address clients’ domestic and international planning needs,” said Rachel.

Rachel earned a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
