With more than twenty years’ experience advising a broad range of sponsors and investors, James will co-lead the Firm’s global credit funds and sovereign wealth funds initiatives and further expand our capabilities in Europe.
James advises on all aspects of fund formation and related matters across asset classes, with a particular focus on closed and open-ended credit-related strategies of all types, including credit opportunities, corporate funding solutions, litigation funding, special opportunities, and special situations/distressed. His practice includes the full spectrum of private fund formation work, and he has considerable experience in the establishment and maintenance of investment funds, funds of one and managed accounts, co-investments, investor negotiations, spin-outs, joint ventures and related legal and regulatory issues.

James’ market knowledge and extensive and diverse experience will enhance Proskauer’s offering to clients across asset classes. He covers the establishment of all types of private funds, and advice to sovereign wealth funds, seed investors, pension funds, family offices, and financial institutions, across a range of private and public market strategies.
