Leading international law firm Proskauer is pleased to welcome Gregory (Greg) Knopp to its Labor & Employment Department. He will be based in the Los Angeles office.
With more than 20 years of experience in employment litigation, Greg has represented clients in a range of industries including entertainment, retail, sports, technology, transportation, financial services and health care. He has represented companies in complex employment disputes involving wage and hour issues, sexual harassment and arbitration compulsion, as well as issues specific to California law.
“As the workplace continues to evolve and employer-employee issues become more complex and nuanced, Greg’s experience will be invaluable in helping our clients successfully meet the challenges ahead,” said partner Anthony J. Oncidi, co-chair of Proskauer’s Labor & Employment Department and head of the West Coast Labor & Employment group. “We look forward to working with Greg to bring our employer clients the solutions and counsel they need to succeed.”
Over the course of Greg’s career, he has built a track record of successful arguments before state and federal courts and has obtained dismissals of class actions in dozens of high-profile, high-stakes matters.
“Across industries and practices, this is an exciting time to be a part of our Los Angeles office as we advise clients on headline-making deals and win precedent-setting cases. Greg will be an integral part of our continuing growth and success in Los Angeles,” said partner Bart H. Williams, head of Proskauer’s Los Angeles office.
“Proskauer is – and always has been – a marquee name in high-profile labor and employment matters. As employers navigate changing workplaces and regulations, I am thrilled to be joining a firm at the cutting edge of employment law,” said Greg.
Greg received his B.A. from Cornell University and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He joins from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
