Segre Brings Decades of Experience Leading Landmark, Industry-Defining Transactions
Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the premier provider of legal services to technology, life sciences, and growth enterprises worldwide, announced that David Segre has rejoined the firm as a partner in its Corporate Department. Based in the firm’s Palo Alto office, he brings a wealth of experience representing public and private technology companies across all aspects of the corporate life cycle.
Segre’s practice includes advising clients on venture capital financings, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance, as well as disclosure and SEC compliance. He also regularly counsels venture capital firms and investment banks on a broad range of transactional matters. Segre rejoins Wilson Sonsini from Cooley LLP.
“Dave has long been a go-to advisor to some of the tech industry’s most high-profile companies on their most consequential transactions,” said Doug Clark, managing partner at Wilson Sonsini. “Over the course of his distinguished legal career, he has developed strong connections across the technology and investment communities. His return further enhances our ability to guide clients through mission-critical decisions and help them achieve their market objectives. We’re thrilled to welcome him back—as both a valued colleague and a longtime friend.”
With decades of experience, Segre has played a key role in some of the most significant deals in the history of the technology industry, including serving as a lead partner on the teams that represented Google, Square, and Tesla in their initial public offerings.
“Wilson Sonsini stands out for its unwavering commitment to innovation, its collaborative culture, and its deep roots in the tech ecosystem,” said Segre. “It’s an honor to return to the firm where I spent many formative years working closely with clients to deliver creative solutions—a firm that continues to lead in supporting the visionaries and trailblazers shaping the future. I’m excited to help clients seize new opportunities, navigate defining moments in their growth, and mentor the next generation of attorneys as they chart their paths in this dynamic space.”
Segre holds a B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
