PARTNER MOVES - Simmons announces the arrival of Pascal Jouannic

15 Nov 2024

The Paris office of Simmons & Simmons has announced the arrival of Partner Pascal Jouannic in its Financial Markets practice in Paris. The recruitment highlights Simmons’ French office’s intention to deepen its expertise in a competitive market and to enhance its services to financial institutions, furthering the growth of one of its four historic key sectors.

With over two decades of experience in structured finance, Pascal Jouannic brings extensive experience to financing deals involving trade receivables, especially in securitisation and factoring, often with a cross-border and off-balance sheet focus. He offers guidance to both arranging parties and lenders, as well as to sellers and borrowers in areas such as auto loan securitisation, Dealer Floor plans, and transactions secured by real estate assets (RMBS and CMBS). Additionally, he assists clients in asset financing and plays a role in the restructuring of financial operations.

Pascal Jouannic states: I am thrilled to join Simmons & Simmons and to reunite with former colleagues such as Siamak Mostafavi and Chloë Nessim. The firm's globally recognised expertise and strong network with teams across key European jurisdictions, which are invaluable for my practice were key elements in my choice.

Jacques-Antoine Robert, Managing Partner of the Paris office, adds: We are very pleased with Pascal's arrival. His top-tier expertise in structured finance and his market reputation are tremendous assets for our firm. This recruitment enriches our banking practice and aligns perfectly with the firm's growth strategy.

Holding a Master's degree in Law from the University of Auvergne (1998), Pascal Jouannic also graduated from the University of Oklahoma (1999) and the American University of Washington (2000). He started his career at Allen & Overy before moving to Dentons in 2014, where he was Partner since.
