International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced that Dan Faundez will joins as a partner in the firm’s Bristol office on 21 March. Dan is a private funds specialist and his arrival further strengthens Simmons’ market leading investment funds practice.
Prior to joining Simmons, Dan was an associate director in Osborne Clarke’s investment funds team. During this time, he advised fund managers on the launch of private investment funds and managed accounts across various asset classes, from real estate to infrastructure and venture capital. Whilst Dan has built a practice around work for managers on fund structuring and formation, he is also a specialist in advising institutional investors, and has impressive experience in the area of secondary transactions, in particular the acquisition of portfolios of fund interests. In line with the increasing importance of ESG considerations for asset management clients, Dan’s practice has evolved to embed ESG expertise as a cornerstone of his business.
Based in Bristol, Dan will work closely with Simmons’ existing UK funds team, including head of investment funds David Williams and partners Lisa Dinwiddy and Matthew Pitman. His arrival also continues the rapid growth of Simmons’ financial services team in Bristol, led by international practice group head Mahrie Webb.
