International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced that real estate specialist Marco Winterer has joined its Corporate and Commercial practice in Germany.

Joining the firm’s Munich office, Marco brings extensive technical expertise to the firm, with over 20 years of experience advising national and international transactions in the real estate sector. Over this period, he held partner positions at the legal arm of a multinational professional services firm and an international law firm.

The hiring of Marco forms part of Simmons’ growth plans for Germany. Marco brings a strong client base and deep understanding of share deals in the sector – transactions involving investments in property companies.

As a new partner in Munich, his hire will complement the firm’s real estate offering in its Frankfurt office. The new integrated practice will build on Simmons’ advanced capabilities in single-asset deals, portfolio real estate transactions and share deals, real estate project development and long-term real estate management.
