International law firm Taylor Wessing has enhanced its Insurance Law, Industrial Risks and Transportation team with the appointment of Pierre-Olivier Leblanc as partner and head of the team based in Paris.

Aside from a strong background in marine and general liability work, Pierre-Olivier is also experienced primarily in industrial risks, construction (offshore, onshore and shipbuilding), energy and transport. Pierre-Olivier also has particular expertise in the financial services sector on cyber liability, civil liability of corporate officers (D&O) and fraud.

Gilles Amsallem, International Board Member and Managing Partner of the firm in France, commented: This appointment will continue to strengthen the firm’s offering in the insurance and reinsurance sector, which has focused on complex IT dispute resolution and professional civil liability cases. His expertise complements those of our existing international partners, yet will add further industry strength with a range specialisations and skills. This will enable us to offer additional value to our clients and their businesse. A real asset for the firm. »

Pierre-Olivier Leblanc added: I am delighted to join Taylor Wessing and to be able to practise in an international structure where transversality between different disciplines is embedded in the Firm’s DNA. » Pierre-Olivier’s appointment adds to the existing expertise in the firm’s Insurance Law practice developed by Philippe Glaser and Marc Schuler, renowned for their advice on cyber security and intermediation of financial products and services.
