PARTNER MOVES - Womble Bond Dickinson continues growth of DC Office

03 Nov 2022

In further expansion of its Washington office, Womble Bond Dickinson announced that Lee K. Van Voorhis has joined the firm as a partner in the Business Litigation group, and Katie Hyman has joined as a partner in the Trademarks, Copyrights, and Transactions group.

Van Voorhis has more than 25 years of experience in the antitrust space, including counselling and dispute resolution. He joins Womble from the Washington office of an international law firm where he served as co-chair of the global Antitrust and Competition Law practice and a member of the Corporate, Litigation, Gaming, and Private Equity practices.

Hyman is widely experienced in international dispute resolution, including multijurisdictional, shore, and investor-state matters. She is a data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity specialist, with dual qualifications as an English solicitor and New York attorney and is admitted as a special legal consultant in the District of Columbia.

“We are excited to welcome Katie and Lee to Womble during a period of strategic expansion for the Washington office and ultimately the firm as a whole,” said Elizabeth Lee, managing partner of the firm’s Washington office. “We have added 18 new attorneys in as many months, half at the partner level. These attorneys have added further depth to areas of existing strength like Business Litigation, Capital Markets, Telecommunications, and White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations and expanded the capabilities and geographic footprint of the firm’s Patent Prosecution & Litigation and Global Business practices, among others.”
