Slaughter and May advised Pembroke Real Estate Inc. on the acquisition of the freehold of 1 Grafton Street, London W1, for an undisclosed sum.
The company purchased the nine storey, 37,432 sq. ft. property from Hines, who redeveloped the entire building in 2010, retaining only the original mansion block façade dating to 1900. The property is fully let, comprising six floors of office space, four retail units and a residential apartment, and is occupied by ten tenants. The acquisition is a important addition to the company's global portfolio and an ideal fit for the company’s long-term strategy.
The transaction involved the purchase of the entire issued share capital of HEVAF Grafton GP Limited and HEVAF Grafton Office S.à r.l.
