Davis Polk advised the dealer managers in connection with cash tender offers by Rio Tinto Finance (USA) plc and Rio Tinto Finance (USA) Limited to purchase certain of their respective U.S.-dollar-denominated debt securities.

Rio Tinto is a global mining and metals group that focuses on finding, mining and processing mineral resources. Major products include aluminum, copper, diamonds, gold, industrial minerals (borates, titanium dioxide and salt), iron ore, thermal and metallurgical coal and uranium. Rio Tinto’s activities span the world and are strongly represented in Australia and North America with significant businesses in Asia, Europe, Africa and South America.
