Slaughter and May, working as a team with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, is advising RSA Insurance Group plc (RSA) on a fully underwritten rights issue to raise approximately £773 million (the Rights Issue).
Through the Rights Issue, which was announced on 25 March 2014, RSA is seeking to raise additional capital of approximately £748 million (£773 million gross proceeds before deduction of expenses of approximately £25 million) in order to meet its strategic needs while restoring the Group to what the Board believes to be an appropriate capital position.
