Shearman & Sterling Advises Underwriters in Atmos Energy’s $500 Million Offering of Senior Notes

Shearman & Sterling acted as counsel to the underwriters, represented by Credit Agricole Securities (USA) Inc., Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, in connection with Atmos Energy’s offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.125% Senior Notes due 2044.

Atmos Energy Corporation is one of the country’s largest natural gas-only distributors based on number of customers and is engaged primarily in the regulated natural gas distribution and transmission and storage businesses, as well as in other nonregulated natural gas businesses.
