Shoosmiths' corporate team in Manchester has acted for Chase Templeton on a trio of acquisitions which will take premium income at the insurer to over £100 million and turnover to more than £13 million.

The Lancashire-based private medical insurance company, which is backed by Manchester's Palatine Private Equity, has acquired 23 businesses and books since January 2013, all advised by the corporate team at Shoosmiths.

Chase Templeton has 70 staff at its Darwen headquarters and additional offices in Bridgwater, Somerset. The latest acquisitions include Bedfordshire consultancy Howill Group, which traded as Medisearch Direct, Chelmsford's Simply Assured and Heath Assured (Scotland) of Stenhousemuir.

The Shoosmiths' team helped Chase Templeton complete these latest three deals in just two days and was led by Manchester corporate partner Karen Procter together with corporate solicitor Kelly Harvey. Both have worked closely in advising Chase Templeton over the past two years.
