Portakabin Limited, part of the Shepherd Group, has announced the acquisition of OECON Mobilraum GmbH, a leading German Mittelstand company in the field of modular buildings, and of its subsidiary OECON Produktions GmbH. OECON is a manufacturer and distributor of modular buildings in Germany, having built up an enviable reputation within the modular industry over the last 20 years.

Portakabin is a market leader in developing and producing portable and modular buildings. The acquisition of OECON is part of Portakabin’s European expansion plans. OECON is set to complement Portakabin’s operations in France, Belgium and The Netherlands and to provide new routes to market for the extensive range of Portakabin modular buildings within the office, healthcare and education sectors.
