Slaughter and May has advised Bourne Holidays Limited, a leading UK holiday provider, on the acquisition of Studley Castle in Warwickshire.

Warner Leisure Hotels, a part of the Bourne Leisure group specialising in adults-only short breaks, has obtained planning consent for the refurbishment of the Castle, which dates back to 1833. The refurbishment will create around 180 jobs and see over £30 million invested in a restoration of the existing building, stables and grounds. New bedrooms, entertainment lounges and leisure facilities such as a swimming pool and spa are also included in the plans.
