SNR Denton has advised US private equity firm KSL Capital Partners, LLC on its acquisition of Malmaison Group, the owner of leading UK boutique hotel brands Malmaison and Hotel du Vin.

The Denver, Colorado-based private equity firm, dedicated to investing in travel and leisure businesses, will acquire a total of 27 hotels through this transaction. In addition to significant investments in the existing portfolio, KSL is planning significant growth of both hotel brands.

The SNR Denton team was led by partner Matthew Tinger, head of corporate real estate in London, and included James Irvine (partner in real estate finance), Alex Thomas (partner in tax), Jason Sheard (partner in real estate) and Mark Daliere (partner and head of hotels in EMEA).

Ashurst acted for the sellers. The Ashurst team was led by London-based corporate partner David Carter. He acted on the transaction together with Restructuring and Special Situations senior associate Olga Galazoula and associate Caroline Grant.
