PARIS – Dechert LLP advised Sofinnova Partners on its investment in SafeHeal, a medtech company specializing in digestive surgery, for a total amount of EUR 6 million.

SafeHeal developed an innovative digestive anastomosis protection device called Colovac that is designed to reduce complications and obviate the need for ostomies for colectomy patients.

The funds raised will enable the execution of SafeHeal’s clinical and regulatory market access program, followed by a focused commercial launch.

The Paris-based Dechert corporate team advising Sofinnova Partners was led by Anne-Charlotte Rivière with assistance from Thomas Bermudes.

SafeHeal was advised by Beylouni Carbasse Guény Valot Vernet, with Hervé De Kervasdoue and Jérôme Albertin.
