Squire Patton Boggs advised Plat. One Inc., a leading enterprise-grade Internet of Things (IoT) solution platform in its acquisition by SAP, a market leader in enterprise application software.
Plat. One's IoT platform enables the rapid development and scalable management of enterprise IoT environments, including connected products, smart cities, connected transport and smart manufacturing.
Matteo Daste, who led the Squire Patton Boggs team, commented, "In the past few years, we've seen a surge of cross-border tech M&A, with Silicon Valley becoming the fulcrum of such activity. We are the market leader in tech start-up financings and M&A activity out of Italy into Silicon Valley, and have strong positions with transactions originating from other European countries. I expect that the cross-border trend described above will continue, as evident with Plat. One's integration into SAP. We're pleased to have worked with Plat. One on this strategic opportunity."
In addition to Mr. Daste, the firm team representing Plat. One included Darlene Chiang, Jake Smith and Jennifer Rodriguez.
Founded in Genoa, Italy and headquartered in San Francisco, Calif., Plat. One Inc. has been represented by Squire Patton Boggs since its inception, in connection with the company's formation and US corporate reorganization, its financings and M&A.
