Squire Sanders Advises Cloud Computing Specialist, Outsourcery, on AIM Listing

23 May 2013

Global legal practice Squire Sanders has advised cloud computing specialist Outsourcery on its admission to AIM, due to take place on 24 May with a market value of £34.6million.

Outsourcery which is headquartered in Manchester and co-founded by new Dragons Den star Piers Linney provides a range of cloud-based IT and communications services and is the largest company to go public this year.

Squire Sanders has acted for Outsourcery since its conception in 2007, advising on a number of transactions including the acquisition of Call Navigator and the sale of Outsourcery’s mobile phone business to Daisy Group plc.

Commenting on the company’s flotation to AIM, Squire Sanders corporate partner Giles Chesher said: “I have worked closely with Piers Linney and Simon Newton since the company was established in 2007. It is very rewarding to see the business progress from conception through to flotation, particularly when very few flotations are taking place, and to have been able to support it all along the way.

“The AIM listing represents years of hard work by the management and staff, and marks the beginning of a new and exciting phase for the company. We look forward to continuing to offer them our plc expertise.”

The Squire Sanders team advising Outsourcery on the AIM listing was led by corporate partner Giles Chesher assisted by Rob Shakespeare, Chris Wilson and Jeremy Thompson. Tax advice was provided by partner Patrick Ford.
