Baker & McKenzie has advised consulting specialists Verium, acting on behalf of an investor, on their client's acquisition of the Toradex Group, a global leader of computer platforms. Verium say that the acquisition was desirable, given the company's attractive market growth, the scalable and consistently applied business model as well as the people behind it.
The Zurich office of Baker & McKenzie advised Verium, led by Martin Furrer.
Esstablished in 2003 as a small contract developer, Toradex has become a leading B2B provider of modular computing platforms, used in a variety of industrial applications (e.g. cash registers, medical devices, coffee machines.) With approximately 3,500 customers in over 70 countries, Toradex has achieved a major global position in this market. The four founders of Toradex and the management team will remain significant shareholders in the company, guaranteeing continuity.
Stephan Dubach, co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of Toradex said, "We found a highly experienced and long-term partner in Verium. Together, we are able to continue the success story of the company and realize enormous market potential."
Baker & McKenzie partner Martin Furrer said,
"We were very pleased to be able to assist on the very significant acquisition of Toradex, which will allow for further growth of an already highly successful company."
The Baker & McKenzie team who advised on this acquisition included Martin Furrer, with assistance from Petra Hanselmann, Matthias Trautmann, Andrea Bolliger and Fabian Aebi.
