Stibbe successfully defended Ballast Nedam N.V. in legal proceedings against the province of Groningen. The province claimed appr. €20 million from Ballast Nedam and other construction companies, alleging that the companies had acted in breach of an agreement made when they withdrew from a residential development project in Groningen. In a judgment dated 17 December 2014, the Noord-Nederland Court dismissed all the province’s claims.
