International law firm Ashurst has been acknowledged for advising on two prize-winning deals at the IJGlobal Europe & Africa Awards, held on 29 March in London.
Ashurst was recognised for its work on the N25 toll road, which was named European Project Bond Deal of the Year. A team led by partner Patrick Boyle advised the sponsors BAM PPP PGGM Infrastructure Coöperatie U.A. and Iridium Concesiones de Infraestructuras on the approximately €146 million project bond financing with EIB credit enhancement for the N25 New Ross bypass greenfield PPP in Ireland.
The firm was also recognised for advising Iluka Resources Limited on its A$375m acquisition of Sierra Rutile, which was named Africa M&A Deal of the Year. The Ashurst team was led by partners Roger Davies and Michael Robins.
