Swiss Prime Site Announces Acquisition of the SENIOCare Group

01 Sep 2015

Swiss Prime Site has announced that it has agreed to acquire SENIOcare Group from the private equity investment group Waterland. The acquisition is, among other things, subject to the approval by the Swiss Competition Commission.

SENIOcare is the highest-volume provider in the Swiss nursing home segment in terms of revenues. The company realized revenues of CHF 107.1 million in 2014 and manages a total of 29 operating locations with 1,128 nursing beds and 214 apartments. The acquisition propels Tertianum Group, a Swiss Prime Site affiliate, to the strongest private provider in the assisted living market segment in terms of revenues.

Homburger has acted as counsel to Swiss Prime Site. David Oser and Frank Gerhard (both partners, Corporate | M&A) have led the Homburger team, which included Gerald Brei (partner, Competition | Regulatory), Nina Hagmann as well as associates Nathalie Högger (Corporate | M&A) and Magdalena Heyder (Competition | Regulatory).
