Travers Smith LLP has advised a newco funded by funds advised by long-standing client TA Associates (“TA”), a leading global growth private equity firm, on the acquisition of Biocomposites.

Biocomposites is a UK-based company which develops, manufactures, and distributes calcium compound devices to regenerate and repair bone and soft tissue in the UK and overseas. With a singular focus on developing innovative calcium compound medical devices, Biocomposites has over 25 years’ experience of engineering and manufacturing products that are at the forefront of calcium technology.

The Travers Smith team was led by Head of Private Equity Paul Dolman who was assisted by Private Equity Partner James Renahan and Associates Joanna Roberts, Edward Pike, Lauren Causon and Genevieve Clark. Tax advice on the transaction was provided by Partners Kathleen Russ and Russell Warren and Associates Emma Walton and Camilla Woodall. The team also included Finance Partner Donald Lowe and Associate Daniel Domb and Head of Employee Incentives Mahesh Varia.
