Taylor Wessing has advised Bloom & Wild, a London-based online letterbox flower delivery company named one of Britain’s 50 most innovative companies last year, on its £3.75m investment from German media company Burda, and existing investor MMC Ventures.
Bloom & Wild delivers tens of thousands of bouquets a month to customers in the UK and Ireland through the app or website. This is the second fundraising that Taylor Wessing has advised Bloom & Wild on, and the company has been a client of the firm since its incorporation in 2013.
Aron Gelbard, co-founder and CEO Bloom & Wild commented: “Our mission is to make sending and receiving flowers a joy, using technology to turn emotions into an action in the simplest and most beautiful way possible. This attention to detail sits as a core value to our ambition to be Europe’s most loved flower brand.”
Adrian Rainey, partner in the corporate technology team said: “Bloom & Wild is a great example of an innovative business that has captured the market with a beautiful product and used technology to bring an entirely novel experience to customers. We are really delighted to be supporting the company.”
The Taylor Wessing team was led by Adrian Rainey and Jemilla Olufeko in the firm’s Corporate Technology practice.
