International law firm Taylor Wessing has advised new client Fabrinet on its acquisition of Exception EMS, a UK-based contract manufacturer of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA’s) for approximately $13.5 million. Fabrinet provides optical packaging and precision optical, electro-mechanical and electronic manufacturing services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of complex products, such as optical communication components, modules and sub-systems, industrial lasers, medical devices and sensors.
The acquisition of Exception EMS will enable Fabrinet to launch an additional manufacturing and technical footprint in the UK and Europe.
