International law firm Taylor Wessing has acted for international real estate investor Meadow Partners on the £48m acquisition of 65 Southwark Street, a 51,000 sq ft office building from Aberdeen Asset Management, an international investment management group.
The property, which sits on London’s South Bank, was acquired at a yield of over 4%. Tenants at the seven-storey building include online estate agents Zoopla, ATG Media and workplace consultant Maris. Itsu occupies the 3,000 sq ft ground-floor retail unit.
The Taylor Wessing team was led by Real Estate partner Keith Barnett and was supported by senior counsel Louise Tobutt (Real Estate). Commenting on the transaction, Keith said “with this transaction, our client adds another high profile property to its growing portfolio of properties in London.”
Meadow Partners bought 10-18 Victoria Street last year on behalf of North Carolina Retirement Systems for £76m and also owns 21 Tudor Street and 13 St Andrew Street.
